Wayne Farms Partners with Albertville City Schools

Albertville, Ala. (October 17, 2013) Recently, the Wayne Farms’ Albertville fresh poultry processing facility partnered with Albertville City Schools to launch the new Parental Involvement Program in the community. The official ribbon cutting which kicked off the initiative was held at the Wayne Farms HR office on College Avenue on October 8, 2013.

Wayne Farms Employee Named Service Technician of the Year from the Poultry Federation

Danville, Ark. (May 15, 2013) – Wayne Farms’ employee, Steve Harrington of Danville, Arkansas was one of three recent industry recipients named Service Technician of the Year- Broiler Division by the Poultry Federation (TPF). The winners were announced at the Service Technician Awards Ceremony during the Poultry Federation’s annual Spring Symposium held Wednesday, April 24 at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers, AR. The recipients were nominated by their companies and their growers for outstanding service in their respective field in the industry.

Wayne Farms Awards Scholarships To Local Students

Danville, Ark. (May 20, 2013) – Continuing the tradition of supporting higher education, Wayne Farms Danville recently awarded three scholarships totaling $2,500 to local graduating high school seniors. Wayne Farms scholarships are offered to nominated children and grandchildren of Wayne Farms’ employees and producers based on their academic accomplishments.

Wayne Farms Acquires Poultry Feed Mill in Atkins, Arkansas

Danville, Ark. (September 21, 2012) – Wayne Farms LLC announced today that it has completed the purchase of an idled poultry feed mill based in Atkins, Arkansas. The purchase gives Wayne Farms full ownership of the facility which will be used as grain storage in support of the company’s Danville operation.

Wayne Farms Places Second In Booth Competition at 53rd Annual Poultry Festival

Danville, Ark. (June 20, 2012) – Employees from the Wayne Farms’ Danville facility placed second recently in the booth competition at the 2012 Poultry Festival, held June 15-16 in Rogers, Ark. During the festival, teams from poultry companies competed against each other in a contest for patriotic themed booth design and custom skits. The festival, now in its fifty-third year, is hosted by the Poultry Federation, a tri-state, non-profit trade organization with members from Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
