Wayne Farms LLC Achieves 2nd Highest Contributing Relay For Life Team in Morgan County

Decatur, Ala. (May 21, 2012) – Wayne Farms LLC’s Decatur facilities have wrapped up another successful year of support for the American Cancer Society by raising $60,000 and placing second among the area’s top fundraising spots for 2012. The company’s team, led by Beckie Patrick and Kathy Greenwell, concluded their fundraising efforts at the May 4th Relay for Life event at Ingall’s Harbor in Decatur.

Wayne Farms LLC Union Springs Facility Celebrates Safety Milestone

UNION SPRINGS, Ala. (February 15, 2011) – Wayne Farms LLC’s Union Springs facility recently celebrated a milestone in safety and production by operating six million man-hours without a lost-time accident.

“No lost time” means that no employee has missed work due to an injury suffered on the job. The company celebrated this accomplishment by treating all employees to a steak lunch and offering each individual a MP4 player as a thank you gift.

Wayne Farms LLC Donates Chicken to Hungry Kids

Danville, Ark. (March 1, 2012) – Wayne Farms LLC recently teamed with many other member businesses of The Poultry Federation to donate chicken to the Arkansas Foodbank. A total of 48,000 pounds of eggs, chicken and turkey products were donated among all companies. First Lady Ginger Beebe and representatives of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance (AHRA) and the Arkansas Foodbank accepted the donations to help the No Kid Hungry campaign.
